User Member or Subscriber Member?

Users - The Original Life Members
Under the original operating criteria we had to notify all members of the AGM knowing that only a few people would want to attend. As this cost almost £900 in postage alone and we are sure you would agree that money would be better spent providing vehicles a new level of membership was created at the AGM. User Members will still be able to maintain their Life Membership without any change but we will not send Newsletter by post or notify you of meetings.

Subscribers
Those Members wishing to take a more active interest in the workings of Community Transport are invited to become Subscriber Members at an additional cost of £2 per year. This cost is to help cover the additional expenses we incur in notifying you of meetings and posting Newsletter's. This level of membership is purely voluntary and does not affect the way you use the service.

What has changed?

We are now operating over longer hours and a wider area. The service operates between the following hours:-

We are testing a system so that passengers using the service for visits to the doctors can now book on the day rather than 24 hours in advance. This reflects the fact that many Heywood GP's require appointments to be made on the day rather than in advance.

As we are now providing a service in Middleton as well we have extra vehicles and drivers increasing our capacity and flexibility.

We have a new Development Manager who is aiming to bring our services to a wider audience. Please contact Neil Foley via the Contacts Page and give him something to think about. We are looking for feedback from individuals and businesses so that we can build a service that will help people into employment, attend training, access health services and maintain social activities that may otherwise not be available.
